Meta Ads for salons: how to get bookings on WhatsApp, not just likes
Most salon ads chase likes. Here is the simple click-to-WhatsApp setup that turns scrollers into booked appointments.
If your salon ads get plenty of likes but your phone stays quiet, the problem usually is not the budget. It is the goal the campaign was set up for. When an ad is optimised for engagement, Meta finds people who like things. When it is optimised for conversations, Meta finds people who message businesses.
Start with the right objective
In Ads Manager, choose Engagement β Messaging apps β WhatsApp. This tells Meta to show your ad to people most likely to start a chat. Every tap opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message, so the customer only has to press send.
A like costs you money. A WhatsApp chat gives you a customerβs number.
What to put in the ad
- One clear offer, such as a first-visit price or a festive package.
- A real photo or short Reel from your salon, not a stock image.
- A pre-filled message like βHi, I want to book a hair spa this weekβ.
Reply in five minutes, not five hours
Most leads go cold within the first hour. Set up an instant auto-reply with your price list and booking slots, then call back the same day. That one habit often matters more than the ad itself.
